Another Mini Reunion

Image
Saturday, November 15, 2025 Copper Hill Country Club I'm just home from a delightful afternoon with these three lovely ladies.  From left, that's Leslee. Me and Gloria in the back. And that's Fern in the purple stripes. Gloria hosted us at her Club. Thank you again, Gloria. It couldn't have been more perfect.  The afternoon flew by with lots of 'do you remember?' and 'whatever happened to?'.  Lots of laughter, a few tears. Sometimes I get melancholy, wishing for an Irvington of yore. Today we were reminded that you can take the girls out of Irvington, but you can't take the Irvington out of us!  On another note, there's a definite something planned for the weekend of April 18. It will be in or near Watchung. What it ends up being will be determined by how many people we scare up. We've gotten several commitments already.  Be in touch by commenting here, or email me at rjamnik@gmail.com.

Let's just say...

Some overlooked. Some families had everything; some had nothing. Some looked at others with envy, some just wanted to fit in.  Looking back, things should have been, could have been, different. I'm guilty of it. I was so busy dealing with my own insecurities that I couldn't see anyone else's. Who knew then that one of the most popular girls in school couldn't afford the saddle shoes we were all sporting eighth grade year? Who knew that the girl who was teased about her weight, went home crying most days? Who knew the goody two shoes girl was actually the neighborhood.... I'll just leave it ther...
